The Cybertronian data cylinders were created in the Golden Age of Cybertron to store accumulated knowledge of the Cybertronian society. The cylinders housed the information in the form of living data stored as energy. The cylinders are organised by topic. The cylinders are equipped with a self-defense mechanism designed to prevent non-Cybertronians, mostly humans from accessing the knowledge. However, since they weren't created during the Great War, they do not distinguish between Autobots and Decepticons.

Known Data Cylinder Topics

  • The cylinders share resemblance to the pillars from the movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
  • Fixit mentions that a data cylinder can store at least 3.667 yottabytes of data.
