Megatron didn't found the deceepticons in Animated Contuity
It depends on which episode you watch. In War Dawn, the Decepticons are brand new, and Megatron's in charge. Later retcons contradict this. Regardless, Megatron can still be said to be the founder of the Decepticon *movement*, even if they were created as military merchandise by the Quintessons. "Decepticonism" can have a founder separate from the creation of actual Decepticons, just like the real-life "Humanism" was not founded by, say, God. --User:ItsWalky

It's one of the banners that IDW hung at their booth at Comic-Con San Diego last year. I took a picture of all of them, for they gave me woodies.
