Antex was an Argentine company that held the license to manufacture and market Transformers toys in Argentina during Generation 1 and Generation 2.
Unusually, Antex acquired the Transformers license second-hand through the Brazilian TF licensee Estrela, instead of going directly to Hasbro. As a result, Antex's G1 toyline featured the same distinct logos and character identities as the Estrela version.
During Generation 2, Antex reused the Jumpstarter/Salt-Man molds for the Argentine-exclusive Decepticons Robot-Man X and Robot-Man Z.
