Uh... no. Redirect to "faceplate" or "mouthplate." --M Sipher 01:18, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Though I can't contest it's popularity, personally, I have never ever heard this term before. --DrSpengler 01:20, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

The name became popular WHEN? I've never heard of this. --ItsWalky 01:25, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

OK. I thought it had become popular, but I guess I may have been overexposed to the bits of fandom where it did. Or read a lot of Zob's stuff. Shame. I'll get on that. --Ratbat 01:37, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Is this liek the Battle Mask Sunstreaker wore iN State games to protect his beautiful face? -Derik

How about a "Transformer anatomy" category for stuff like this? --KilMichaelMcC 13:23, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Uh... When did people use "mouthplate"? It covers his face, not just his mouth, hence the usually used "faceplate". And "woobers"? "Woobers"? --MCRG 04:02, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Fiction Uses

The Ultimate Doom, pt3:

CLIFFJUMPER: Look at Megatron. I'm gonna blast that smile off his faceplate.

vs

The Insecticon Syndrome:

OPTIMUS PRIME: Ratchet! Wheeljack! We're gonna need that antidote fast!

WHEELJACK: Doin' our best, Optimus! We don't want the Insecticons to blow up in your faceplates any more than you do!

Those are the only two uses of *plate in the G1 cartoon series. Given the context, it seems to be a TF word for "face" rather than a mouth-guard... I can look through Rik Bakke's transcripts later to check out all the instances of "mouth" and "face" to see if there are actually any specific references to the-thingie-below-the-nose. --Monzo 20:09, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Optimus Prime's face beneath the mouthplate

I don't whether this is suitable to be placed in the article or not, so I put it here. --TX55 16:20, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
